Debugging on JUROPA

  • Compile and link program with debug option -g

  • Allocate interactive partition with X11 forwarding: 
    msub -I -X -l nodes=#:ppn=8
    possible number of nodes: 1 or 2
  • Start debugger: 
    totalview <jobscript>
ddt <jobscript>
  • When totalview is started :

    • In Window Startup Parameters -> Parallel

      • Parallel system: MPICH2

      • Tasks: choose number of CPUs

  • After debugging deallocate interactive partition with: 
    exit
